Accidents

You know Gladys just had a fall not too long ago because Papa was glued to the TV screen right. At first, I thought she just had a small little bruise on her forehead but days after that fall, I realised that the impact was on her shoulder instead when the big bruise appeared.

My poor baby.

Since then, we have been 'training' her at the edge of beds and sofas that it's very dangerous to crawl out of the 'boundary'.

One fine day, Papa was so proud of himself and he claims that he has successfully 'trained' Gladys not to crawl beyond the boundary. I thought so and believed him.

So I stood there and watched while he 'demostrates'. He told Gladys to stop and that it was dangerous to go on.

Gladys hesitated and paused.

Yipee!

But before we can react, Gladys continued to crawl and fell flat on her cheek. My goodness!

Argh, I can't believe I actually believed what men said. I shouldn't.

I picked up my crying baby and also whatever I could lay my hands on and started throwing at him. *sob*

I was shattered. It was all my fault. I let it happen.

Then another day, we were having claypot rice and when it was served, Gladys was so excited and though still in the child seat, jumped forward and reached for the piping hot claypot.

You can imagine what happened next.

She cried hysterically!

Arghhh..

I screened her hand for burns and it seems that there was no major injury but I let her hold on to an ice cup nevertheless. Then, I attempted to pacify her with her favourite biscuit.

It didn't work.

So Papa fed her with some claypot rice and it does the trick.

Babies can be so easily cheated with food lor!

And just the other day when I met up with some mummies and babies at IMM's Secret Receipe for coffee, Gladys reached out for my plate and it landed on the floor with a loud crack.

I was shocked! Luckily she was injured in this case. Luckily I didn't have to pay for the damages. And luckily I had finished the Chocolate Banana cake. :p

My goodness, I must always be on my guards at all times now that she's so mobile, and fast!

Me and my cheeky baby.

X'mas Gathering with April Babies

The party was held at The Eden. It was a long drive to our destination and I was glad Gladys slept through the journey.

Like the previous party that we went to, we had lots of goody bags too. You know, there's never too many of goody bags.

Gladys was on the mat for awhile to catch up with her friends. Here's with baby Caitlyn. She's going to Boston real soon. I'm sure Gladys will miss her.

Here's baby Keira. Gladys loves playing with her too.

And because there are just so many babies, I didn't get to take photo of them with Gladys. We had forgotten to take a group picture together. That's how a mummy's brain work. Hee..

Gladys didn't get to nap at all throughout the party. Perhaps it was too noisy. Or maybe she is just too kaypo and didn't wanna miss out anything if she slept.

A bit stone towards the end of the party.

And when I got her to pose with the Christmas hat, she seems not too happy about it.

Motherhood is so contradicting.

Gladys 1st Fall

Gladys just had a big fall down my bed about half an hour ago.

I had asked Papa to look after her while I keep the clothes into the closet.

Before anything was done, I heard a loud 'thud' and I knew something had happened.

My heart sank to rock bottom while Gladys cried hysterically.

My goodness, the right side of her face was all red and she has got a bruise on her right forehead.

I almost hammer Papa on the spot if I wasn't carrying and comforting the crying baby.

All because he was so engrossed with WWE Wrestling which was on cable.

Can you believe it?

Now she's sleeping peacefully as if nothing had happened.

I'm just gonna observe her for the next 24 hours if there's anthing abnormal.

God, please bless my baby.

Gladys Kissing Herself!

Gladys is kissing and licking at her reflection in the mirror! So funny!

My Little "Traitor"

Sighz..

I've always thought my little princess will call "mama" first, coz I've been teaching her all along.

I've even bet with hubby that she'll call "mama" first before "papa".

But she proved us wrong.

My hubby was so proud that he took a video of her saying "papa" non-stop.

Dear Papa Eric..

..Happy 4th Anniversary!

Trial Class @ Tumbletots

Papa Eric offered to join us for this trial class coz after previous trial classes, I always complaint that my friends' hubby are all so supportive and I bet people will mistaken me for a single mum.

Hee hee..

We managed to get there just on time after rushing to get ready and trying to locate the place.

To our dismay, the equipment is quite rundown unlike Gymboree's. It is mostly made of wood unlike the other which is padded. Also, the air-con is not cold enough.

Anyway, we had a great time!

Here's baby Isabelle trying to smack Gladys' botak head and baby Dillion innocently looking away.

Baby get to 'enjoy' a massage from dearest Mummy. But they don't look like they enjoyed it, do they?

How much hard work there is just to entertain our little precious ones. All mummies working out.

Mummy with Baby!

She seems happier with Daddy. Ok, fine!

With dear Daddy on the trampoline.

Again with dear Daddy on the walking platform.

And again with dear Daddy while climbing up the slide. Cheater bug, use handphone to attract her to climb forward.

Finally she realises that she still loves Mummy the most and wanna jump out from Daddy's grasp. Hee hee..

Anyway, I really love to see how much closer they are now than ever before. These are the 2 persons I love most! Look how comfortable Gladys is with Papa Eric.

Cool Babe!

YO! YO! Check me out! Yo!

I'm a big gal now. Yo! Look, I can sit on a chair already. Just don't look at what I have in my mouth. Yo!

Check out what my Papa bought me. A brand new BIG-BOBBY-CAR-PRINCESS! Yo!

I know I'm still too small to ride on it but I don't care. Yo! It's in my blood. Don't hold me back! Yo!

Gladys 1st Time at the Race Track

Papa Eric had been very busy throughout the weekend coz he's the organiser for the Yamaha Cub Prix 2007.

Before I was pregnant, I'll help out at the events. This is the first time that I went after getting pregnant and giving birth. So can you imagine how long ago it was when I last appear?

Despite the noise from the racing bikes, Gladys still doze off to dreamland coz I guess she must be really tired from the Gymboree class earlier in the morning.

Kelvin, Papa Eric's twin brother, got 1st in one of the race. It's in their blood to be determined to win a competition they're in.

In the past when Papa Eric was still racing, they will always be competing for the 1st position. I'll always break out in cold sweat watching them race. They were known as the 'undiscipline brothers'!

Gladys got the chance to sit on one of the bikes to pose for a picture with Papa Eric.

I'll be getting a mini bike for Gladys when she's older. I don't care. I think she'll enjoying riding, like I did.

But Papa Eric will surely object to it coz he says 'girls should not be riding'. MCP right?

Trial Class @ Gymboree

Today we went for a trial class at Gymboree. It was a last minute decision coz someone backed-out and we get to stand in for them.

Anyway, it was a free class, so why not. All we have to do is to produce a voucher at the back of the 'Baby's Journal' which was in the goodie bag given by NLB.

The class is interesting but I think it'll be better if Gladys can crawl before going for this class coz otherwise, there's nothing much she can do. I have to drag her through everything!

Most of the time, she'll lie on a rug and the instructor and I had to drag her up the slide. If she can crawl, she'll have to crawl up by herself.

So guess what? It's a tiring day again for me. But I'm happy as long as she is.

I think if I do sign up for class, I don't have to think about going to those weight losing salons already. I'll burn enough fats already!

But comparing Gymboree and Kindermusik, I think Gladys prefers the later as she gets to play with the little instruments. But similarly, there's also a lot of singing which I think Gladys really enjoys.

Now, we're looking forward to the Tumbletots trial class on Saturday!

Gladys Has a New Friend: Jazel Soh

Jazel is Jessica's baby. She's 2.5 months old.

Last Tuesday, we met up at AMK Hub for lunch. Then, we proced to Anderson's Ice Cream for some dessert.

Gladys is very happy coz she gets to go gai-gai again.

Although Jazel is 5 months younger than Gladys, they're of about the same size and weight.

Thereafter, we came back to my place for the babies to have a little nap before sending Jessica and Jazel home. But they didn't nap lor. They just wanna play.

We can already foresee that in months to come, we'll have to scream at the babies to behave, while we enjoy our lunch.

Leapfrog Counting Pal

Many mummies recommended getting this toy for Gladys. I had wanted to get this long time ago but I thought it is quite expensive at $49.

Last Thursday, we went to JL's sale and got it at a steal! After discount, it's only <$30!

It not only teaches numbers, it also teaches colours. It also has classical music.

Gladys loves the songs very much. Especially the numbering ones. I love them too.

Here goes:
One little birdie singing so sweet.
One fluffy cloud and one big tweet.
ONE.

It's no wonder people always mistaken her for a boy. Sighz..

Btw, I also got her a new hairband from Daiso for Christmas! She's so cute, right?

Heehee. My baby..

Gladys is 7 months old already!

How time flies.. Gladys is 7 months old already!

It's high time to potty train Gladys. Since she's been taking semi-solids, her poo is quite a massive amount each time. *yucky*

Hey, I didn't know baby's potty can be so expensive ok. Some really fancy ones can cost up to $100! And their purpose is to hold baby's poo.

Anyway, I bought her a fairly nice one from Kiddy Palace. This small piece of plastic costs me $12.90! It's got a nice little handle which she can hold on to for support while she does her business.

Here's her dear Papa potty-training her.

Since it's her first time sitting on her potty, she seems quite fascinated by her new 'toy' that she forgot her 'mission'.

1st try, mission failed!

Anyway, I'm glad she enjoys sitting on it. I mean, she has to feel comfortable with her potty, right?

By the 2nd day, she 'bombed' the potty big-time! Well, the photos are too gross to be posted here. I've also learnt that in future, I must always remember to lay some tissue in the potty first, so that it's easier for me to clean it.

During the weekend, Papa Eric decided to bring us for a trip to Malaysia. I suggested Malacca coz it's not too far. I'm really worried in case Gladys couldn't take long journeys and get cranky. You really don't wish for a wailing baby in the car.

This is her first time out of Singapore and I'm really glad she slept through most of the time, both to and fro. Maybe next time, we can venture further.

We got a really nice room at the Equatorial. This is the first time Gladys stayed at a hotel and I'm glad she didn't make a big fuss about sleeping at an unfamiliar place.

We also celebrated Shermain's 12th birthday there. In the photo, me and Gladys, together with Shermain jie-jie, Hilda jie-jie and Regine jie-jie.

When we were at the mall, Gladys got onto the kiddy ride for the very first time and she enjoyed herself so much. See, she even held on to the steering wheel herself!

I'm sure in time to come, she will be bugging me for coins to take the rides! Haha..

Motherhood is so contradicting. When baby's not ready, you're hoping that she can do it soon. When she's doing it, you wished she didn't.
