Updates

I have not been diligent in updating this blog for the past month. Anyway, here goes..

We met up with Jessica and lil' Jazel. Here's Gladys and Jazel chilling out on the nice sofa at Coffee Club. Gladys was upset coz she didn't have anything to munch on while Jazel's enjoying her cookie.

Gladys hao lian, fish out her box of cookies. Jazel got upset and turned to complain to her mummy. Gladys can't wait and started licking the box instead.

And here's Daddy bringing lil' Gladys out for some shopping at Vivo City.

We brought her to the kids' playground for a lil' playtime.

Here's Daddy and Baby posing for a photo.

We had to send off my cousin at the airport. Gladys immediately 'demanded' her grandparents to walk her around.

Still walking around happily. But then the problem is, she can't walk on her own yet. But still, she insists.

Sometime ago, I had almost lost Gladys chow-chow pillow outside. Luckily, I found it when I back tracked my path. So dear por-por got this super huge bag of bean sprout husks from the market and we had a hard time sorting it out. The dried husks will be made into an extra pillow for her, you know, just in case.

As usual, she's damn vain. When I put on the specs for her, she immediately crawled towards the sofa, climbed up and smiled at her own reflection. She was also swaying her body from side to side and waving like mad. Oh, poser.

I like this a lot! It's like some lil' rocker chick. But then, the pacifier spoils it all. Gosh, just wondering how I'm gonna ever wean her out of it.

Krabi Trip

We've actually came back some time ago but the thought of working on this lousy laptop just puts me off.

Anyway, some photos you all have been waiting for.

These 2 can't wait for a swim in the pool. Picture was taken from our room's balcony.

What you see is what you get. The pool is only this huge. There was a 'children's pool' at the side but it looked more like a pond so I didn't bother.

Trying to take a nice photo of father and daughter but the lil' one is more interested in counting pebbles.

This is better, at least her eyes are on the camera. But her hands are still busy with the pebbles.

Hardly a nice picture of me with Gladys coz you know, my hubby's photography skills are just not good.

Gladys is more excited playing with pebbles than to swim in the pool.

Still focusing on the pebbles.

Daddy gave up and joined in the 'fun'.

And here's Gladys feeding me a pebble. It tasted ok.

You wanna try?

Big and small Chia hit the pool everyday. But I only got to swim for 2 days only coz my big auntie came for a visit. Duhz.

Anyway, this is a picture of me and a dead beaten Gladys together with Nika and lil' Travis.

We rented a bike from the hotel to travel around Krabi. Petrol is definitely not cheap. It's almost equivalent to the cost in Singapore. But I was pretty excited coz this is the first time Gladys got on a bike. She enjoyed it pretty much, I think. So much that with the breeze and all, she'll doze off.

The weather was good but the sun was scotching hot! So to hide away from the heat, we'll find air-con joints for a drink.

Gladys enjoying my favourite Green Tea Frappa.

Can you see the shiok look on her face? Now, pass me that drink, won't ya.

Hey, I like this photo pretty much coz I think she look really sweet with the sun hat. But Daddy has got this whip cream still on the corner of his lips. Gosh.

Oh, while we were there, it was also the Thai's water festival. However, we chose to travel by car instead coz I didn't want our babies to catch a cold. Not to mention, some actually used iced water! Wooo.. But the people are really nice coz when they saw us with babies, they won't splash water at us. I said she's like my amulet, preventing me of getting splashed at.

But Daddy was pretty upset coz his main intention of coming is to take part in this fiesta. So Nika and me, together with our babies, went back to the hotel for a nap while the guys hit the road on their bikes.

Yes, they came back drenched.

This is how jammed the roads are. At the back of those pick-ups are barrels of iced water. They also threw powder at their victims after they got wet. *ouch*

Everyone was enjoying at the prime area by the beach. Our car was badly hit by the powder war. Sexy babes are also top targets.

I do enjoy this trip coz I really got to spend time with both hubby and baby.

However, as we drove all the way from Singapore, Gladys got a bit of motion sickness and puke couple of times along the way and back. Luckily, being the kiasu me, brought sufficient changes of clothes.

I'm looking forward to our next trip, probably to Australia, at the end of the year.

Gladys is 1 Years Old Today!!

My baby is finally 1 years old today!

I am so happy and excited at the same time. I mean, so much had happened during the past 366 days and yet, it all seems to pass in a flash.

Last year, at this time at about 2am, my water bag burst. I totally freaked out but yet was so excited to see my baby.

Then 1 year later, I am celebrating her 1st birthday.

Anyway, old folks say must celebrate baby's birthday earlier rather than later, so we had her party last Sunday at home.

We had invited a small number of guests for her party cause we had it at home and our home is not exactly that huge to accommodate too many people.

Anyway, some photos to share.

My baby all ready for her party. Dressed in white, like a little angel. But then, she still look quite boyish hor. Anyway, her Fox Baby dress is from her ever-doting por-por. Though it's meant for 12mths old baby, it is still quite huge on her. Oh ya, she hasn't quit her pacifier yet.

A little decoration we did to the house. The alphabets were done by jie-jie Shermain, Hilda and Regine. The ballons were blown up by me coz the stupid pump broke last minute.

Her 1st birthday cake from eCreative. Janny recommended the meshmellow lollipops. It decorated the cake pretty well coz I got the butterflies and flowers design to match the cake's. The kids were crazy about them.

Gladys inspecting the piece of cake. Her food has never been this colourful so I guess that's why she hesitated for awhile.

She took a really huge bite and her mouth was full of cream and she was happily licking it off her lips.

Adeline and Kien Teck, with lil' cutesy Ariel. She's 6 months old.

Tony and Janny, with Tania and lil' Tasha. Remember, Tasha was Gladys' 1st baby friend? She's 3 months older than Gladys.

Guohao and Judith, with Dayrius and lil' Dylan. Dayrius is 18 months old and Dylan is 6 months old. *Dayrius stole Gladys' 1st kiss.*

Dennis and Serene with their lil bundle of joy. He's 2.5 months old.

Nika with lil' Travis. He's 4 months old.

Foon with lil' Braydon. He's 7 months old.

There were 2 other baby friends who can't attend. Lil' Jazel who's down with flu and lil' Clyde who has another appointment.

Tasha was so sweet as to give Gladys a big hug before she go.

Gladys caught kissing Braydon. AND she kissed him a couple of times!

If only I caught Dayrius kissing Gladys on camera but I was too slow. He was so sweet.

A tired Gladys at the end of the day. But she was still beaming with joy. Here's with her daddy.

Trial Class @ JWTKids

Last Sunday, me and dear hubby brought Gladys to Kallang Leisure Park's JWTKids for a free trial class.

I was quite upset coz I realised I didn't charge up my camera so I didn't get to take many photos as planned. So some photos were taken with my phone's camera which turned out quite blurry.

Anyway..

I had a hard time getting her prepared coz we are both lazy pigs as we usually wake up like around noon time. She was still in sleepy mode even after bathing and changing her and she continued sleeping on the car ride to our destination.

Luckily, she wasn't cranky as I thought she will be. *My finger crossing works, finally*

She was still a bit stoned when we just arrived, and we were about 10 minutes late.

But then when the instructors threw out the coloured balls, she suddenly became awake and crawled quickly towards the pool of balls.

Lil' Gladys enjoying the slide with daddy.

She was crawling around a bit until she realised that there's another baby as funny as her and she stopped to make some funny expressions at... her relections.

One of the instructors started blowing bubbles.

And all the babies crawled quickly towards the bubbles, like bees were attracted to honey.

She entertained herself quite a bit with the colourful toys.

She also enjoyed her time on the swing.

Time to take a picture with mummy. She's clearly embarassed by my oily skin and is not afraid to show it.

Finally, a group picture. However, baby YX and baby Cherelle were not in this photo.

Actually I'm not sure if she did enjoy herself on the swing coz I think she's more interested to check out her neighbour.
